In 1992, Cobalis acquired the US patent for the use of cyanocobalamin as an effective method of reducing immunoglobulin (IgE) levels in humans. The Company also, in 2001, received patent approval for using cyanocobalamin for the treatment of allergic disease (allergies, asthma, etc.), via a wide variety of delivery mechanisms. The patents on PreHistin™ describe research which demonstrated reductions in allergy symptoms such as sneezing, nasal congestion and runny nose.
